One More Nights Sleep

One more nights sleep

I say to my son

shh little one

it is time to kiss you goodnight

Mary and Joseph

have now picked the little crib

With the little lambs wool

for Jesus little head

The stars are all shining

so brightly tonight

The evening star is still glowing

from the Lord's bright light

To show us the way

both near and far

For Christ will soon be born at midnight

My little son is dreaming

his dream's of old

Come Christmas morn,

Little baby Jesus will be born

The Angles all singing

in sweet harmony

ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA

Little Boy Jesus is born.

My little son is waking at first light

He sees the crib shining all so bright

The Shepard are there

with their sheep and their lambs

Mary with Joseph

with their out stretch hands

He looks over to the crib

to see a little face

Jesus is sleeping so we will wait

I love you little Jesus

I'll stay by your side

The Angel will wake me

when the little baby Jesus cries

I give you my heart dear Jesus

and also my Soul

For I know you will walk with me

when I get too slow

You are my light little Jesus

for you will lead the way

ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA

The Christ child is born
